Ramsdell Public Library in the village of Housatonic, in Great Barrington, MA
Theodore G. Ramsdell, owner of Monument Mountain Mills, requested his family donate $25,000 from his estate as a "thank you" to the residents of Housatonic. The library, built at a total cost of $40,000 was opened to the public on June 26, 1908. The building is located on the site of the first house built in Housatonic in 1804.
